June brought lots of summer heat, lots of mini road trips, and lots of fun. I can’t believe it’s over! Mercy. June also contained lots of new favorite things I thoroughly enjoyed. Here are the best of them.
Dots Pretzels
WHERE HAVE THESE BEEN ALL MY LIFE? Mr. Cozy House went on a week long fishing trip to North Dakota earlier this month, and I discovered these in his snack bag when he arrived back home. The kids and I sampled them, and oh my goodness. SO GOOD. They’re crunchy and spicy and tangy…not at all the boring pretzels I expected. I’m a fan for life.
Olly Women’s Super Foods Multi-Vitamin
I’m trying once again to do the daily vitamin thing. I’m really bad at it. So I’m on the hunt for the perfect multi-vitamin. I recently shared my love for Olly’s Restful Sleep Vitamins, so I had to give these a try. The main appeal of these particular vitamins is that they count as a full serving of fruits and vegetables. Umm, eat gummy candy-like chewies and have them count as a serving of vegetables? Yes, please.
Ultimate Beastmaster on Netlfix
I can’t even believe I’m admitting that I watch this show. My husband says I’m obsessed with it. I’m really not…it’s just perfect mindless television, and I’m all about mindless television during the summer.
That being said, I’m finding out that watching this with my super active, mega-physical five year old son maybe isn’t the best idea. I think it gives him some crazy ideas.
For instance, I walked outside this morning and he had turned the fire ring on it’s side and was using it like a hamster wheel. Possibly totally unrelated to watching Beastmaster this morning. But then again, maybe not. We’ll never know.
Summer ballgames
We are loving the month of June because of one word: ballgames. Riley is playing t-ball for the first time. (And come on, how adorable are t-ball games!? They are killing me.)
And Jon plays on a church league softball team. The kids have been saving their money all winter long to blow at the ball game concession stand. I love spending lazy Sunday evenings watching my cute hubby play softball. It’s pretty much my favorite part of the week.
Yogi Honey Lavender Stress Relieving Tea
I’m kind of choosy about my teas. I don’t like them to taste to tea-ish. (What can I say? I’m a coffee drinker at heart. Don’t hate me.) This one is SO GOOD. Awesome flavor combination…I love the honey and the lavender together. And can I just say that the stress relieving part is no lie, people. I’m totally chill after drinking a cup of this stuff. Maybe it’s the placebo effect, but whatever. I’m sold.
There you have it – my five June favorites. What were some of your favorite things this month?
